Professor Patrick H.M. Loh
HonDSc, BBM, PBM Chairman As a practicing plant scientist, Chartered Horticulturist (UK) and Certified Practising Agriculturist (Australia and New Zealand), and one of the early pioneering bio-entrepreneurs in Singapore who has successfully established the commercial application of biological and molecular techniques in the agro-based industries.
Prof Loh has been appointed R&D Scientific Advisor to Panasonic Factory Solutions Asia Pacific (PFSAP) and he was conferred the highest science honour by Murdoch University, Western Australia in recognition of his exceptional contributions to science, academia and agribusiness in the ASEAN region. He is Advisory Board Member of the Centre for Governance and Sustainability (CGS), National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School. Prof Loh's distinguished and illustrious career spanned more than two decades in both academic and corporate world, with roles as professor, chairman and advisor in numerous institutions and organisations. In recognition of his leadership to the community, Professor Loh was conferred the PINGKAT BAKTI MASYARAKAT (PBM - THE PUBLIC SERVICE MEDAL) in 2001 and the BINTANG BAKTI MASYARAKAT (BBM - THE PUBLIC SERVICE STAR) in 2006 by HIS EXCELLENCY, THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE. |
P.F. Chang
B.Eng (Bioengineering), CEng MIET (UK) CEO Graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Major in Bioengineering, Minor in Entrepreneurship) from the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Mr P.F. Chang effectively combined his in-depth knowledge in these cross-disciplinary areas to make breakthrough innovations in the nurturing of medicinal herbs under controlled-environment. This discovery led to the scale-up development for achieving the most potent high-value medicine herbs known in the market in compliance with Health Sciences Authority (HSA) of Singapore’s Safety Standards. He also successfully developed Analytical and Quality Control Systems to optimise the consistency of active ingredients of medicinal herbs cultured in the indoor production facilities and co-founded an agro-tech company. Mr Chang's cumulated experience has enhanced him with the know-how to successfully operate an agro-tech business.
During the COVID-19 pandemic period in Singapore, he has been instrumental in the bulk logistic supply of the rice commodity from China to Singapore. Mr Chang is a qualified Member of the Asia Regulatory Professional Association (ARPA) in Singapore. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and has also been awarded Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in the United Kingdom. |
Advisory Board
Professor Peter Waring is Murdoch's Pro Vice Chancellor of Transnational Education and Singapore Dean. Peter is responsible for advancing the University's academic and strategic interests at each of its Transnational Education locations. Peter has previously held academic positions at the University of Newcastle and the University of NSW (Asia) including the leadership positions of Active Pro Vice Chancellor (International) at the University of Newcastle and Academic Director and Deputy CEO of Newcastle's Singapore operations. A qualified lawyer, Peter also holds degrees in Commerce and Management. He is the co-author of four books on employment relations and has published more than a hundred book chapters and articles in leading international and national journals. His research and teaching interests span the business and law fields of employment relations, human resource management, corporate governance and labour law. In 2011, Peter was a recipient of the Australian Government's 'Outstanding Young Alumni Award' in Singapore. He has lived in Singapore and Malaysia for the past 17 years.
Professor Lawrence Loh is Director, Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) at the NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. At CGIO, Lawrence leads the new Singapore Governance and Transparency Index project in collaboration with CPA Australia, Singapore Institute of Directors and The Business Times. He also heads the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard project conducted together with the Singapore Institute of Directors. Lawrence oversees the joint Business Integrity and Sustainability Reporting initiatives with the ASEAN CSR Network as well as the study on sustainable finance with WWF. Lawrence received a PhD in Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He had served in key leadership positions in universities and alliances across Asia Pacific and Middle East. Lawrence has been appointed in government committees and think-tanks in education, information communications, and science and technology. He was lead consultant on information and technology policy studies for various government agencies. Lawrence also consulted for Fortune 500 companies and international organisations in the areas of quality management and technology strategy. Lawrence has published in international journals including Management Science, Information Systems Research and Journal of Management Information Systems, and has co-authored a book entitled "The Quest for Global Quality: A Manifestation of Total Quality Management by Singapore Airlines" published by Addison-Wesley. Lawrence is a regular commentator on corporate governance and sustainability for the global and Singapore media, such as BBC, Bloomberg, CNN, The Washington Post, The Business Times, The Straits Times and Channel NewsAsia. At NUS, Professor Lawrence teaches strategic management and corporate governance for undergraduate, graduate and executive programs.
